Not long after the 2016 presidential election, several former congressional staffers put together a Google doc called the Indivisible Guide. The 20+ page document offers an analysis of how the Tea Party obstructed President Obama’s agenda and suggestions on how progressives can use the lessons from this experience to organize and stop President-elect Donald Trump’s policies-to-come.

The guide takes two approaches: 1) targeting members of Congress at the local level; and 2) a “defensive approach purely focused on stopping Trump from implementing an agenda built on racism, authoritarianism, and corruption.” It presents practical, proven steps to influencing the political decisions of representatives.
