Rep. Betty Sutton, Democratic candidate for Ohio governor, will be in Mount Vernon at Knox County Democratic Party (KCDP) headquarters on Tuesday, May 9, at 6:00 p.m. This is the third visit to KCDP from Democratic candidates for governor. KCDP is committed to hosting as many possible Democratic candidates for office as they focus on retaking Ohio in 2018.
Betty Sutton, from Barberton, Ohio, served from 2007 to 2013 as the representative for Ohio’s 13th congressional district. In 2013, President Obama appointed Betty to be the administrator of the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. Previously, Betty served on Summit County Council and as a representative in the Ohio House of Representatives. At the time of her election to the statehouse, she was the youngest woman ever elected to the Ohio House.
Betty Sutton will introduce herself and her candidacy and take time to answer questions and ask questions of her own. This is the perfect opportunity for you to get to know her and give her the information she needs as we look forward to choosing our Democratic candidate to take back the governorship of Ohio.
KCDP headquarters is located at 9 East Vine Street in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
