Knox County will be joining with over 500 other locations in the U.S. and around the world in the March for Science on April 22. Join us at 12:30 PM on Mount Vernon’s Public Square or attend one of 12 other Ohio events.
The March for Science champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good and for political leaders and policy makers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest.
Some of the principles of the March for Science are
- Science that serves the common good
- Evidence-based policy and regulation in the common interest
- Open honest science and inclusive public outreach
- Funding for scientific research and its public applications
The central march will be held in Washington D.C. Information about other marches in Ohio can be found at https://www.marchforscience.com/satellite-marches/?state=Ohio
