The Big Table is a day of community building through conversations designed to strengthen and connect our community.
On May 17, more than 5,000 central Ohio residents are expected to participate in at least 500 conversations held across the region. First launched in 2016, by the Columbus Foundation, the Big Table provides an opportunity for central Ohio residents from all walks of life to connect, talk, listen, learn, and be inspired at The Big Table.
Emphasis is not on finding immediate solutions, but rather on creating authentic human connection and civic engagement through the conversations that occur and the ideas that are shared. The Big Table will give participants an opportunity to share their thoughts about creating a promising future for our community together.
“Every voice has value. Communities are at our best when we discuss the issues that connect us as residents and as a region,” said Foundation President and CEO Douglas F. Kridler. “Through thoughtful dialogue and commitment to our community, we can work to strengthen central Ohio together.”
You are invited to join the local conversation on Wednesday, May 17th starting at 7 PM at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County. This event is co-sponsored by the Knox County Citizen’s Action Network.
